As a Vermonter, moving to Alaska wasn’t exactly on my radar. After five years of diversified vegetable farming in the Green Mountain State, I was ready for a new adventure. In the spring of 2023, I packed up my car and headed to Alaska to spend the summer working at Spring Creek Farm. It didn’t take long for me to realize that Alaska was the place I wanted to call home.

My work is deeply motivated by a commitment to supporting fellow farmers and contributing to the sustainability of local food systems within my community. This sense of purpose is at the heart of everything I do, and I am grateful for the opportunity to engage in meaningful work that aligns with my values. When I’m not working in the field, you can find me out skiing, riding bikes, baking bread, catching live music, or spending time with friends in the great outdoors.
