I started with APU in 2024 as the Assistant Manager at Spring Creek Farm. I’ve always loved farming and spending as much time as possible outside, so this was a particularly special time. After the season ended, I transitioned to marketing for the University, as that is my other area of expertise. My background is in environmental science communication, with a particular emphasis on public relations. I earned a dual-degree (BA/MA) from UNC-Chapel Hill, and graduated from the University in 2021 with a Master’s in Media and Communication. 

Over the course of my career, I’ve worked in a range of industries that include renewable energy, environmental research and policy, and sustainable agriculture. I am most interested in environmental sciences, Indigenous Knowledges, and in the unique character of Alaska and Alaskans. I love this state and the beautiful culture, knowledge, and determination of the various groups of people who inhabit this land. Chin’an for the land and the people who have made this place my home. 

In my free time, I love to meditate, read, hike abouts, bike, create art, and practice yoga. I’ve also more recently gotten involved in local politics and doing what I can to get involved in the process.
