Are you looking to go camping but don’t have your own tent? Interested in learning how to cross-country ski? Whether you are trying out a new activity, or simply don’t have your own gear, come check out the Outdoor Programs Equipment Room for your outdoor gear needs! Our helpful and friendly staff will be glad to assist you.

Having the right gear is an important part of safely enjoying the outdoors. We rent quality equipment at affordable rates for APU students, staff, faculty, alumni and the general public! Please refer to the following rental brochure for equipment pricing and rental policies.

VIEW EQUIPMENT RENTAL RATES
  • A late fee of the daily rental rate will be assessed on a daily basis to each item that is not returned.
  • Late charges are to be paid upon return of the equipment.
  • Delinquent payments and misuse of equipment will result in loss of rental privileges.
  • A $10 cleaning fee will be assessed for equipment returned dirty or wet.
  • Equipment that needs minor repair will be charged the cost of repair.
  • Replacement/repair due to loss, damage, or theft is the responsibility of the renter and will be charged the full retail value of the item.

APU student, staff, faculty, or alumni may rent equipment without a deposit. General Public and ANTHC Staff may rent equipment with a valid ID and credit card number on file.

No credits or refunds are given for equipment returned early or unused.

The renter is responsible for inspecting the equipment and seeing that it is complete and in safe & satisfactory condition.

Renters use all equipment at their own risk. Renters are encouraged to ask questions regarding the inherent risks involved in using the rental equipment.
