Purpose and Mission

To honor Louise Kellogg’s legacy and pioneer spirit as a center for sustainable and socially responsible living. Through collaborative processes of project-based learning about resilient food systems and renewable, innovative design.

Louise Kellogg

Louise KelloggLouise Kellogg was a friend to all dogs, a die-hard Republican, a pioneer. But above all else, she was a generous woman. Louise’s spirit of adventure led her to Alaska and her love of hard work made the Spring Creek Farm into a success. Through her benevolence and high regard for education, Alaska Pacific University has been gifted the use of the Kellogg Spring Creek Farm Campus. May her wonderful life never be forgotten.

Louise Kellogg Biography

Educational Programs

“Without the serenity of fields and woods, animals and friendly birds in their natural setting, a private educational institution can offer only book learning, not real education.”
— Louise Kellogg
