Cost of Attendance

The Cost of Attendance

The cost of attendance (COA) is an estimate what it costs the typical student to attend Alaska Pacific University as a full-time student for the fall and spring semester. Your COA doesn’t just cover your college tuition; it takes into account your basic living expenses. Housing and food will vary based on lifestyle preferences. Some courses have fees, such as lab fees, that are not included in the mandatory fees listed. Credits may vary by program of study, semester, and year.

When comparing financial aid packages from other schools, make sure you are comparing the total cost of attending that school, not just the total financial aid awarded.

APU is dedicated to making quality education affordable, primarily through its grant system for full-time undergraduate students. Students with the highest financial need (those eligible for a full federal Pell Grant) are guaranteed no tuition cost whatsoever through the APU Promise Grant. Those who qualify for less than a maximum Pell Grant may receive a pro-rated APU Promise Grant to help cover tuition, while students with mid-range need may qualify for a GAP Grant to offset part of the cost. Both the Promise Grant and GAP Grant are applied after all other federal, state, and institutional aid has been accounted for, ensuring these funds directly address any remaining tuition balance.

For more information on Summer Tuition and Fees, please visit the Tuition, Fees, & Payment Information section of the APU section of the APU Catalog.
