Alaska Pacific University offers a scholarship for current/active employees, board members, and dependents of the Alaska Tribal Health System, and a matching scholarship for current/active ANTHC employees who are Alaska Native or American Indian.
Alaska Tribal Health System Scholarship
Employees, board members, and their dependents must complete both processes below:
- Complete the ATHS scholarship application, employment verification authorization form & submit a copy of your Certificate of Indian Blood documentation (if applicable) by the deadlines as set by the Financial Aid Office dependent on the University Academic Calendar.
- In an effort to keep the most accurate and up-to-date information, employment verification forms that are dated more than 30-days prior to the start of the semester will no longer be accepted.
- Priority Deadline for Fall 2022: Please submit your employment verification documentation and a copy of your Certificate of Indian Blood documentation (if applicable) no later than Monday, August 8th, 2022 to allow for processing time.
- Priority Deadline for Spring 2023: Please submit your employment verification documentation and a copy of your Certificate of Indian Blood documentation (if applicable) no later than Wednesday, December 28th, 2022 to allow for processing time.

Qualifying Academic Programs
Full tuition discount* for:
Early Honors Program for High School student dependents of employees. Up to five discounts available.
30% discount* on tuition costs for:
Degree and certificate-seeking students. Specialty programs, like the Alaska Native Executive Leadership Program (ANELP), and any partnership programs where students are receiving discounted tuition and/or fee rates, such as the Undergraduate Health Occupations Certificates, do not qualify.
*Amounts may not exceed the remaining cost of tuition when combined with other institutional scholarships and discounts, APU donor-funded scholarships, Federal Student Aid grants, and state scholarships and grants. Scholarship availability, terms and conditions are reviewed annually.
ANTHC Employee Match Scholarship
APU will match up to an additional 25% of the remaining total tuition due that is the student’s responsibility to pay, after the ATHS scholarship is applied. To qualify, the ANTHC employee must be Alaska Native or American Indian. Please submit a copy of your Certificate of Indian Blood documentation along with your employment verification form to the Financial Aid Office. APU match will not exceed the remaining cost of tuition.
