Areas of Support
A gift to Alaska Pacific University today is an investment in tomorrow’s leaders.

Immediate Impact
Select from two funds that will put your donation to work immediately:
APU Annual Fund
Donations to the APU Annual Fund will be directed to the greatest needs of the university.
Promise Partner Program
Promise Partners make APU possible for all students. APU and our Promise Partners have made a promise to our students in greatest financial need (those meeting the criteria for a full federal pell grant by income standards) that remaining tuition and fees will be waived through our Promise grant after other scholarships are applied. This promise makes it possible for all students to attend APU regardless of financial situation. Your donation will immediately help students and help APU continue this tradition of support.
Scholarships
Core Scholarships
Help APU support students through our core values. Three scholarships are selected that support students with either financial need, Indigenous heritage, or academic merit. With your help, APU can continue to provide these scholarships to all students who qualify.
- Gould Opportunity Fund provides scholarship funds to students who demonstrate a financial need. This endowment is key in APU keeping founder Peter Gordon Gould’s vision of a quality education accessible to all Alaskans. Donations to the Gould Opportunity Fund help APU continue our promise that students of greatest need will attend APU with zero out-of-pocket cost for tuition and all students demonstrating financial need will receive a scholarship of support.
- Shel ch’naq’ahnilu Fund provides scholarship funds to Alaska Native, American Indian and Canadian First Nation students. Established in 2024, this endowed fund is the start of a growing scholarship to live our APU commitment to serve Alaska Native students and communities as an Alaska Native University.
- Leah J. Peterson Legacy Fund provides support for merit-based scholarships. This fund helps APU continue our long history of recognizing and rewarding academic excellence and hard work. Students initially earn these scholarships through high school or transfer grades. Students may also apply after academic success at APU, providing opportunities for a fresh-start.
Donor Selective Scholarships
The generosity of donors over the years has led to the creation of several scholarships. These scholarships require an application by students and are selected by a committee based on the unique criteria for each scholarship. Donating to one of these scholarships helps to continue this needed support.
Campus Improvement
Help APU continue to improve our campus, from our current focused capital campaign to improve our Shel ch’naq’ahnilu Center, to our deferred maintenance endowment fund that supports APU in our continued efforts to update the whole campus. Specific funds are also open for both the Kellogg Campus and the Moseley Sports Center.
Kellogg Campus
Louise Kellogg generously left her farm in Palmer for APU to use for educational purposes. Today, the Kellogg Campus hosts several programs in education, agriculture, and sustainability. The Toni Lyn Sasek Endowment provides funding for a variety of Kellogg Campus needs. The Kellogg Campus Maintenance fund is specific to maintaining the farm.
Nordic Ski Center
The Nordic Ski Center supports both elite ski athletes and broad community program, embodying APU’s values of both excellence and giving back to our community. The Nordic Ski Center is not possible without donor support.
Student Support
These funds support student needs not covered by other scholarships. The President’s Forum endowment supports students with financial need to cover additional fees such as travel or outdoor courses with additional participation fees.
